Patricia Yaker Ekall

Despite being a writer and freelance journalist, Patricia is considered 'the face' of Grace Ekall. She is based in London, having worked as the International Editor at Raine Magazine and most recently the Style Writer at the Huffington Post UK.

The other half of this mother-daughter team, Patricia is the Art Director at Grace Ekall. Her role includes curating all visual content, as well as managing the events, press and social media aspects of co-running a fashion label.

Her personal blog, View Avenue, is still her go-to platform for musings on culture, style and food.

Grace Ekall is a fashion and textiles designer, mother and artist based in Bristol, UK. After a breast cancer diagnosis in 2005, Grace enrolled in a college fashion course in 2006 - while still receiving chemotherapy. She graduated with a triple distinction and honed her craft as a fashion and textiles designer at the University of West England, where she went on to graduate with an Honours degree.

Not only does Grace create beautiful couture and ready-to-wear pieces for the modern woman, but she designs the very fabrics of those creation. She works with local textiles technicians and family-run businesses, championing independently-sourced materials in her designs. She is proud to have her labels read ‘Made in England.’ Her goal is to equip women with luxurious, ethically-produced garments inspired by the merging of African and Western glamour.
